Fundamental to any hydrogeological or hydrological assessment is the siting and correct specification of the monitoring infrastructure. Geotechnology has extensive experience in the design and installation of monitoring infrastructure in a range of different geological and environmental settings. In many instances the design of the groundwater monitoring well is first agreed with the Environment Agency.
Following installation, routine sampling is typically achieved by the installation of dedicated sampling instruments to avoid cross contamination. We also maintain a wide range of calibrated field instrumentation to provide instantaneous water quality data. On behalf of a range of clients, Geotechnology routinely undertakes groundwater and surface water monitoring programmes, and in many cases maintains databases, undertakes data interpretation and compiles reports.
