Ewan Thomas

Ewan is a director of the company and a geotechnical specialist with more than 25 years experience.  He is a part time lecturer in geotechnics at Cardiff University, delivering post graduate courses in rock engineering, ground engineering, ground investigation and landfill design.  He is retained by the Environment Agency as their landfill engineering advisor, a post held for the last 9 years. As well as the geotechnics of landfill design, Ewan’s other technical interest is the application of geophysics and particularly microgravity, to ground investigation.

In real life Ewan is a keen mountaineer and skier, is a search manager and party leader with Brecon Mountain Rescue Team and is the National Water Officer for Mountain Rescue England and Wales.
